Reminiscent of ‘Office Space’
Do you work in a place where the bosses don’t know what their doing, they’re supposed to be supervising or managing, but don’t seem to do either. Let me tell you that I know almost what you’re going through. I work as a letter carrier for the U.S.P.S. and let me tell you, my boss is a lot like the guy on office space. When he needs you to do something extra that day he’ll walk up (cup of coffee in hand) and say in a monotone voice something to the effect of “hey… if you could just pick up a couple of hours of work from (so and so) that would be great thank you.” on the last syllable I just want to dump his hot stale coffee on top of his bald head. because if I don’t do the extra work in the original allotment he’ll say stuff like “so did you get stuck” or “you might not want to take a double lunch tomorrow.” Perhaps you’ve wondered why the people on the bottom get crap from people in the middle. first off I’d like to mention that without the people on the bottom, NOTHING would get done, secondly we could easily do without the time consuming middle managers, if we could just work and know what was expected of us it would probably be more efficient than with supervisory “guidance.” which brings me to the reason for middle managers, time and money management. It’s probably some scheme thought up by the CFO of the company or something so as to decrease productivity to reduce profits and increase pay so that their taxes are cheaper. Or upper management had nothing to do so they invented jobs that didn’t need to exist because it made their jobs viable.
Maybe it’s time for a new paragraph, so in conclusion 42 is the answer to life the universe and everything. So, when you have a question write it down, then write just below it “Answer: 42″ Poof you have all the answers, or the answer. But is the question life the universe and everything or is it that any question that falls into that category that it is the answer to. hmmm… anyway it’s right anyway you write it.
